Description

The Stones charted new waters here with their first LEGIT gospel sounding album . Very eclectic and ahead of their time !  They Pirated the electricity from a Neighboring business to record this in true Bad Boy style . This is a 1972 release , and re-issued here in 1991 by Vydal Globus International ( The Chech Republic division of CBS Gramafoonplaten ). This is an authorized copy sourced from the original master tapes and pressed on Clear & Red Splatter Vinyl ! It is presented in a simple record sleeve with no inserts . There are dissimilar inner sleeves ( both audiophile quality ) but not identical . I haven't played it in about  9 years , so I listened to it all last night all the way through to make sure I can accurately describe the vinyl , as photos are great , but I try to be accurate in my descriptions , and grade conservatively . I will be posting  12 photos , but I keep getting knocked off line when I add them , so I will re-vise the listing and add them , so I don't have to do the listing again , just the photos. The Cover is nice , but has one corner bend that shows up more on the back than the front .(Pic 7 & 8) The Vinyl plays really nice , it is a bit brighter in sound than the Atlantic Pressings partly due to the clear vinyl , and partly because it is an unbrushed mold , much like the Origional Master Recordings of the 60's and 70's . This will brighten up the Sax , Guitar , Cowbells a bit and give some of the songs a slightly new feel ( Happy , Let It Loose ) and is interesting for a fresh listen to an old favorite Lp , this also creates a random "pop" here or there many of which  should go away as you play it a few more times ( just like on the half speed masters ) . The Vinyl is otherwise quiet , as there is no "SURFACE NOISE" just a few songs with a minor tic at the beginning from cueing up a song . I believe those songs are Shine A Light , Ventilator Blues, and Just want to see his face .  I hope the description is accurate enough for you . I bought it new , and have probably played it through twice , and brought it out 3 or 4 times for a cut . (something I have learned not to do over the years). So it falls short of perfect , but it presents and plays brilliantly ! Very cool ! Vinyl : Vg+ (conservative) Cover: Vg+ This would make a Nice Surprise Christmas Gift for that Rolling Stones Fan on your list !
