Description

I bought this box set in 1982. Sadly the box was very flimsy and started coming apart, and rather than risk the records falling out, or trying to stick the box back together, I used some spare record sleeves to house the records in. The records themselves are in excellent condition, and I test-played all three to make sure they played fine. It's an interesting compilation. The Carol Lou Trio song seems to have absolutely nothing to do with the Velvet Underground, "I've Got a Tiger in my Tank" is a pretty dreadful imitation of the Beach Boys doing a hot rod song, but most of the rest is interesting, demos, live tracks and pre-Velvets stuff, before most of it became more readily, and officially, available. I'm sorry it no longer has a box, but the records themselves are fascinating, and I'm hoping someone will buy them at a much cheaper price than they'd be worth with the original box.
