Description

  • Eva Cassidy Songbird (Limited Deluxe Edition) (180g) (45rpm) Presale 2 LPs
    • Label: Blix Street
    • Date of publication: 18/2/2022

Two years after her death, in 1998, the compilation "Songbird" was released, a special best-of and a nice memory of the artist and her work. At the time, however, it was virtually unknown in Great Britain, with the album only reaching the lower echelons of the British charts. Two years after its release, however, Cassidy's music caught the UK audience's attention when her versions of Sting's "Fields Of Gold" and the classic film "Over The Rainbow" were played on BBC Radio 2. A little later, »Songbird« reached number one in the UK.

In 2022 »Songbird« will be released again on vinyl, as a double LP (180 g / 45 rpm) on a deluxe gatefold cover.
