Description
This is a Test pressing of OJC release # OJC-086 (1983)
“Ernie Henry: Last Chorus” 1983 OJC/Riverside reissue of 1957 album Pitman Press. The vinyl was in the original inner sleeve with the handwritten notation of the album # along with the test pressing date although I have removed it and placed it in another sleeve to preserve the integrity of the original test pressing sleeve The record grading is Excellent (EX) and was simply “spot checked” due to the value of this test pressing. It is clean with no scratches. The following is on the runout groove:

NOTE: The label states “This is a test pressing intended for use in determining the technical quality of the recording only. It is not intended for sale or distribution outside of this company.” It also reflects the 1983 date along with “Columbia Records, Pitman, New Jersey”
The album was in an outer case of this actual Ernie Henry release (which is included), yet the unusual thing about that is that the outer case is for a Japanese reissue of the album! Regardless, it is in EX condition with a cut-out corner and a few dings to the top seam. (all reflected in the photos) All sales final.
This item will also be insured for the full sale value at my cost and shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
This album will ship with the inner sleeve & record OUTSIDE of the cover as to prevent any possible seam damage to the cover during shipment. Both the album cover and the inner sleeve & vinyl will be contained within a plastic protective sleeve inside of the shipping box with padding on top & bottom
