This is a USA original Mono LP pressing. Unfortunately, the sleeve is very worn (please see below for more details). However, the record is very reasonable overall.

This LP has a heavyweight matte sleeve which is fully textured too. The rear of the sleeve has the "203 SO Washington Ave., N.J." company address on the rear. It comes with its original generic company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has purple "New Jazz" labels which have silver print. The labels are deep grooved also. The 1st press matrix numbers are as follows:

Side 1: NJLP 8270 A
Side 2: NJL:P 8270 B

"RVG" is machine stamped in the dead wax on both sides.

This is a genuine USA original Mono LP pressing. These are very rare. An excellent & influential early 1960's Free Jazz/ Hard Bop LP too. Sleeve: There is a mild strip of clear tape staining along the entirety of the top & bottom edges (see photos). This is on the front & rear sleeve. There is also a much smaller strip of tape staining along the entirety of the front & rear sleeve opening edges. There is a 2 cm seam split at both the top & bottom edges. These are at the sleeve opening area. There is a 6 cm seam split at the top of the spine, and on the top edge at the spine area. There are four small stains on the front sleeve (see photo). There is a 5 cm area of moderate rubbing wear on the spine. This is just below the centre area. The spine text is more or less completely rubbed away. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor finger tip staining on the front & rear sleeve on some areas. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, & rubbing wear, on some areas. Overall, Fair condition

Vinyl: There are three light hairline surface marks on Side 1. These measure from 1 cm to 2.5 cm in length. There is an extremely light 6 cm hairline surface rub mark on Side 2. This can hardly be seen under a strong light. There are two other extremely light hairline surface rub marks on Side 2 too. These measure 4 cm & 1.5 cm in length. There are some light, mild, very mild or very minor sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. There are a few areas of more moderate sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, mild, very mild or very minor dull surface marks. These, again, can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Very Good condition. The labels are in Excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear only. The company paper inner sleeve is in Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear & creasing. There is moderate fading. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good overall & Very Good+ in many places. Firstly, there is a light or very minor pressing hiss in the background to a varying degree. Obviously the quality of the vinyl on this LP wan not to the highest standard. This is an error with the pressing, it is not due to any groove wear. This minor background hiss is only really even noticeable in the quietest places. It never overpowers the music. The music still shines through! Otherwise, there is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are a few intermittent light or very mild clicks midway through Side 1. Overall, a very serviceable audio copy.
