Late last year, a collection of the best moments from Crossroads 2013, Eric Clapton’s annual guitar festival, was released digitally and on CD, but when one looks at the track listing and the sheer volume of classic songs included therein, it’s hard for an old-school audiophile to avoid dreaming of hearing the whole thing on vinyl. As it happens, though, some of those very audiophiles work at Rhino Records, and as a result, the vinyl release of Crossroads 2013 is now available!

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the concert on any medium yet, then you’re in for a real treat, but especially if you hear it on vinyl.

In addition to the aforementioned Mr. Clapton, the list of exceptional performers on the collection includes Vince Gill, Earl Klugh, Robert Cray, Gary Clark, Jr., John Mayer, Buddy Guy, Keith Urban, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Randolph, Albert Lee, Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, and Andy Fairweather Low, among many others, turning in a mixture of originals and covers, and based on the musical evidence, a rip-roaring good time seems to have been had by all.
