This item is a rare test pressing of the 1974 Eric Clapton album release ‘461 Ocean Boulevard’. Matrix numbers are:
Side 1 : ST - SO 743147A
Side 2 : ST - SO 743148A
However... Test Pressing itself is in fair condition with many (too many to count) hairline scuffs many which are light. Test pressing played through amazingly well with no skips and an occasional click or pop and some surface noise between some of the tracks. I was surprised it played as well as it did on my Denon turntable considering its appearance. Record labels have writing on them and have a date stamped on them (June 11, 1974) (see photos). Record comes housed in a white generic cover with a song title insert sheet taped to the cover (see photos). Generic cover has wear and on the top of the cover there is a 2 inch split. See photos for song listings. Test pressing is being sold for its rarity and not its condition. I’ve had this album a long time and this is the only test pressing of this great Clapton album that I’ve ever seen. Always wanted to try to upgrade it but never found another copy of this test pressing for sale. Money back if not satisfied. Feel free to e mail with any questions.
