It is a PROMOTIONAL BOX SET CONTAINING 5 MGM PROMOTIONAL 45RPM RECORDS.

This BOX SET is MGM CS 11-5.

It was issued in 1967.

The labels on the 5 records have the printing:
“SPECIAL DISC JOCKEY RECORD” and “NOT FOR SALE”

I read online that this box set is “an unusual collection, as it is an early example of true stereo 45s”, and the printing on the box states:
“MGM Compatible Stereo-Mono Recording”

The VINYL OF ALL FIVE OF THE RECORDS IS IN NEAR MINT (NM) CONDITION (and even appear that they could be unplayed). The YELLOW PROMOTIONAL LABELS are ALL NICE and CLEAN.

All of the records were issued in MGM generic/stock paper sleeves which are in WEAK NEAR MINT CONDITION with minor signs of handling.

The BOX is in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION with just a couple of VERY LIGHT/MINOR SIGNS OF HANDLING. (If Goldmine grading had a Near Mint Minus (NM-) grade, I would probably use it instead of VG+ (which I’ve enhanced with the words “Very Strong”). The BOX with HINGED LID is firmly attached to the box bottom. You can see this in one of the images.

It’s interesting to note that “The Other Side of This Life” was arranged by Frank Zappa.
