Description

Here as yet another rare listing is Enya's popular 1991 release Shepherd Moons.  This is a German import of the album as pressed at Warner Music Manufacturing Europe's Alsdorf plant; the record was not released on LP domestically in the U.S., to my knowledge.  Features such New Age and ambient masterpieces as the title track, "Caribbean Blue," "No Holly for Miss Quinn," and the Gaelic-influenced "Lothlórien" and "Smaointe ... (D'Aodh Agus Do Mháire uí Dhúgain)."

This is a beautiful copy of the album that comes with VG++ vinyl and a VG+ jacket.  The record has little in the way of visible or audible signs of handling, and the jacket is only marred by a small 1" seam split at top-centre -- the rest of it looks pristine and comes with the original hype sticker in the upper right front corner.  Be sure to check out my other ambient listings from such artists and labels as Eric Tingstad/Nancy Rumbel and the Windham Hill Records group to complement your purchase, and happy bidding!

LPs from Michael the Record Nut!

As a long-time record buyer and brand new math teacher, I am excited to continue to make available LPs I have collected over the last dozen years but now need to winnow from my shelves.  The items I will be posting include quite a range of genres and interests – soundtracks, specialty records, and albums ranging from the typical mainstream to the unexpectedly weird.  Check back often to see what surprises I’ve got in store!

Please note my conditions of sale:

-I use Goldmine standards to rate my albums, and I seek to do so conservatively.  Items will often receive both a visual check and a playgrade, so that I can review the material one last time and also listen for any differences between audible quality and my visual perception of an album's surface.  If there are any potential flaws in an item, I will make sure you know about those upfront.  As a rule, I will not attempt to sell records that rate below VG for the total package (unless the item in question is rare or hard to come by).  Because I deal largely in used stock and will be thorough in explaining an item's condition, please note that all sales are "as is" and final – returns are not accepted.

-I ship through USPS services to destinations in the U.S. only. All records will be packed sturdily with quality outer cardboard, with records and innersleeves removed from jackets to avoid seam splits on used items.  Because of the demands of my work schedule, all shipping will go out twice a week, by Wednesday (if an album was purchased the previous weekend) and by Saturday (for all later purchases or payments).

-I will accept payments for items through PayPal only. If you win one or more of my auctions, please make sure items are paid for within 7 days of the listing's end.  Due to recent trouble I've been having with non-payers, please note that I open failure-to-pay cases against those who neither pay nor respond to an invoice within my stated timeframe.  Please do not bid or commit to buy if you don't intend to follow through with a payment.

-Shipping will be at cost to the buyer, through Media Mail with a tracking number.  I charge a starting fee of $4.13 for one album, and 50 cents for each additional LP.  This actually represents a small discount to the buyer on the purchase of one record, as I cover the last 9 cents of what shipping actually costs due to the recent USPS rate increase (eBay won't allow me to charge separately for tracking!).  The cost breaks down to:

·        $3.17 for shipping at the media rate,

·        $1.05 for the tracking number, and

·        no charge for handling/packing/delivery to the post office.

-I will always be willing to combine shipping on multiple wins/purchases.  Just make sure to request an invoice prior to completing your purchase.

-The bottom line: I will make every attempt to insure your satisfaction as my customer.  Let me know of any problems prior to posting negative or neutral feedback, as this will help me to refine my services and better serve my fellow record collectors out there.  Enjoy!
