Description
All the records I sell are from my own collection.
This is Emerson Lake & Palmer - Trilogy. UK 1st pressing on Island Records. cat no. ILPS 9186. Matrix numbers are A1/B2. Classic Island pink rim labels are clean, I can just about see 1 spindle line on one side, nothing on the other. Vinyl nice shiny black, & visually both sides are free of scratches or scuffs. A few very fine hairlines can be seen only under a strong light. Plays very well, superb sound quality with no jumps or other defects. There is very little in the way of background noise throughout. No pops. Cover is pretty decent, spine is intact, sleeve is nice & flat with no rips, stains or writing etc. Very light signs of minor edge wear. Partial ringwear can be seen on back at the top. Original blue inner is present.
I clean all my records with a VPI record cleaning machine & test play before selling.
Grade. Sleeve VG+. Vinyl EX.
Record grading. I use the Record collector grading system as follows. M.(Mint). These are absolutely perfect in every way. NM. (Near Mint). A good description of a NM record is one that looks like it has just been bought & opened for the first time. In other words, nearly perfect, never played or handled. Ex. (Excellent). The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening of the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VG. (Very Good). The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. G. (Good). The record has been played so much that the sound has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits etc.
