Description


You have to be fond of Emerson Lake and Palmer to be happy with Brain Salad Surgery.  A real mix of song styles from British valor to whimsy.  


Regardless of what you may think, or I may think of EL&P, this album needs to be in your collection.  It is a US first press of Brain Salad Surgery,  released in 1973 on Manticore #MC 66669.    

The Dead Wax etched run-out numbers are: 

Side A …ST-MC-732991-F  

Side B… ST-MC-732992-F

Record- Very Good Plus.  If it were not for a single faint short scratch on the first track of side two, I would have graded it NM.  It plays like NM.


Fold Out Album – Very Good Plus.  A clever creation by H R Giger. 


Poster – Near Mint.  Seldom opened. 


Sleeve – Very Good Plus. Sleeve has one wrinkle. Original color printed sleeve showing miscellaneous albums by Atco, Atlantic, Asylum, etc. on both sides.


Grading: Using the Goldmine criteria, grading is done visually, and by listening.
