Emanon - Baby Beat Box - Vinyl LP - Pow Wow PW 7403 - Keith Haring Artwork EX/EX
Extremely rare hip hop holy grail LP released in 1986 on New York's Pow Wow Records with iconic Keith Haring artwork. When this does turn up for sale, it is sometimes offered as a piece of art which depresses me as it's such a great album - someone had just the sleeve for sale recently for £200+. I considered trying that and keeping the record but it seemed wrong somehow.
I've never seen this in better condition. Sleeve and record are both confidently graded EX. One label has two small numbers written (BPMs I assume... I've not checked) but this is barely noticeable (see 6th photo). The sleeve shows very little wear and certainly could be framed/displayed if you must (please don't). The record has minimal faint surface marking and plays really well throughout.
The high p&p price (£8.65) means the parcel is insured up to £500. I usually send for £4.20 and am willing to do so with the agreement that I am not liable should anything go wrong. I have sold hundreds of records without that happening, but with valuable items I feel it's better to be safe than sorry.
