Description

This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1955 single Mystery Train / I Forgot To Remember To Forget released in the USA.

The record itself (47-6357 dog on top) is quite a hard one to find.

THIS IS THE RARER issue WITH the SILVER HORIZONTAL LINE!!!!,

You could say this is the USA Version of the UK HMV GOLD writing issue!

THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PIECE OF ROCK AND ROLL HISTORY!!!!!!

There are visually quite a few scratches / marks.

The labels are quite clean and have NO WRITING. There is however some label damage on The I Forgot side(see photos)

Overall i would still grade visually as VERY GOOD.

That said this is a great affordable collection filler until that MINT £40+ copy comes along!

This comes with an Original Generic RCA VICTOR sleeve. AND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been discovered in recent years that there was an RCA Promotional picture sleeve issued with this release , making it the 1st ever Elvis issue to be issued with a picture of Elvis (until then it was always believed that Hound Dog / Don't Be Cruel was the 1st)

The ORIGINAL promotional picture sleeve for this release is valued in Presleyana VI in 2008 at a whopping $6000 (£3900)

THIS COMES WITH A REPRODUCTION OF THAT SLEEVE!!!!!!!!!!!

I have play tested this and both sides play ok with surface noise etc, however there is a skip on the Mystery Train side.

With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!

PLEASE ALSO REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A REPRODUCTION OF THAT ORIGINAL SLEEVE BUT WILL SERVE AS A GREAT AFFORDABLE COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL YOU CAN AFFORD THAT $6000 ORIGINAL!!!!!!!!!!
