Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of Love Me Tender / Anyway You Want Me released in the USA.
The record itself (47-6643 )is in EXCELLENT-/VERY GOOD+ condition and retains some of it's natural sheen.
There are a few marks/scratches, but nothing too deep or drastic though (see photos).
The labels are CRISP,CLEAN and have NO WRITING!(see photos)
This is the RARER issue WITH THE HORIZONTAL LINE. (you could say this is this U.S equivilant of HMV GOLD WRITING UK issue!)
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2002 as $80 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is EXCELLENT-)for the sleeve alone!!!
There were 4 different coloured sleeves issued for this release and this is one of the hardest to locate (especially in this condition!!)
This is the rare GREEN/BLACK sleeve (the others being Light Pink , Dark Pink and Black/White)
This sleeve is over 53 years old and there are very few signs of ageing.
There are NO SPLITS,RIPS,TEARS or WRITING!!!!
The only thing that stopsthis from grading even higher is some light stains on the bottom of the rear and glue marks along the seams on the back (very common with all colours of this release)
THIS IS THE BEST CONDITIONED SLEEVE OF THIS RELEASE I HAVE EVER SOLD!!!!!!!
Overall this was valued at about $115(£80+) back in 2008.
I will start this at way under HALF of that!!
THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT AFFORDABLE ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION!!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
