Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1957 release of Jailhouse Rock / Treat Me Nice released in the USA.
The record itself (47-7035 )is in EXCELLENT- condition and retains a lot of it's natural sheen .
There are a few light marks/scratches(nothing too deep or drastic).
The labels are nice and clean and have NO WRITING!!!(see photos)
This is the RARE issue WITHOUT THE HORIZONTAL LINE.
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2002 as $70-80 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+ )for the sleeve alone!!!
Although this sleeve is 52 years old there are NO SPLITS,RIPS or TEARS.
The only things that stop this from grading higher is some light ringwear and a 40c price written on the Jailhouse Rock side(see photos)
That all said , this is nothing too drastic and This is still a great affordable collection filler until that MINT $150 copy comes along!
Overall this was valued at about $90(£58) back in 2002 , so i would guess this would have to be at least £60.
I will start this at a THIRD of that!!
This, as with ALL of my picture sleeve releases comes housed in a separate paper sleeve containing the record and a protective poly sleeve to help prevent ny further future wear!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
