Description

This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of Hound Dog / Don't Be Cruel released in the USA.

The record itself (47-6604 )is in VERY GOOD+ condition and retains a lot of it's natural sheen.

There are a few marks/scratches, but nothing too deep or drastic though (see photos).

The labels are quite bright and have NO WRITING!!.(see photos)

This is the RARE issue WITHOUT THE HORIZONTAL LINE. (you could say this is this U.S equivilant of HMV Gold WRITING UK issue!)

The picture sleeve is much sought after and IS NOT the official sleeve released at the time!!!!!

This is a really HARD TO FIND Alternate/Bootleg sleeve and has 2 great photos

1 Photo has Elvis and President Nixon taken at the White House and the Back photo has Elvis with Rock and Roll Legend Bill Haley(see photos)

The sleeve is quite strange in the fact that it has Hound Dog/ Good Rockin Tonight as the tracks, however to my knowledge NO release has these two great titles together on 1 45rpm.

THIS IS ONLY THE 2nd SLEEVE OF THIS I HAVE EVER SOLD!!!!!!!

The sleeve has NO SPLITS,RIPS or WRITING!!!

As i have no official value on the sought after sleeve i can only put a value on the record itself, but true collectors will know the rarity value of this sleeve!!!

The record alone is valued at approx $25 (£16)

I will start this at under that and please remember this comes with this rare sleeve!

With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
