Description

I am not an expert at grading albums and I have not played it, but I believe the rating is as follows. I have tried to be as detailed on any potential damage as possible.

COVER CONDITION:  VG+ GATEFOLD. Light corner wear and light wear at the opening. All seams are tight! Beautiful clean graphics inside the gatefold! The top of the front has a hole and there is a 4" split in the seam at the top left as you look at the cover but the cover is still tight and the tear not noticeable unless you do something like I did in one of the pictures to deliberately show the tear. On the back, someone circled the date July 2 (probably their birthday) and wrote their name in ink n the upper left corner of the calendar page, although it is fading. The interior gatefuold is perfect except for some creases.

RECORD CONDITION: Nice VG+. Just a few light scuffs. No warps. I tried to take reflective photos of it on my turntable.

NOTABLES: A nice original 'LONG PLAY' copy of this 1959 release. This one has the RARE SONG STICKER on the cover and it says long playing on the record ! Books for $500.00 in NM condition in Goldmine's price guide for this hard to find version!

SONGS: BLUE MOON OF KENTUCKY; YOOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL; BABY I DON'T CARE; MILKCOW BLUES BOOGIE; BABY LET'S PLAY HOUSE; GOOD ROCKIN' TONIGHT; IS IT SO STRANGE; WE'RE GONNA MOVE; I WANT TO BE FREE; I FORGOT TO REMEBER TO FORGET.

Very Good Plus [VG+]: Shows some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK yet will be noted. An LP jacket my have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount. In general, if not for a couple of minor things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint. All but the most mint-crazy collectors will find a Very Good Plus record highly acceptable
