Elvis Presley - Worldwide 50 Gold Award Hits Volume 1 (Test Pressing of LP 2 only)
(RCA Victor UK Original Test Pressing LP 1970)
This is a UK original RCA Victor Test Pressing LP of LP 2 from the 4 LP Box Set "Worldwide 50 Gold Award Hits Volume 1" Box Set. As stated, this test pressing LP is of LP 2 of the box Set only. It has a custom sleeve. These are very rare!
It has a heavyweight plain card sleeve. This has a period Elvis Presley picture pasted on to the front. There are handwritten track details on the rear sleeve (see photos). It comes with an original generic polythene lined company paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has glossy plain white labels. These have some details handwritten on both sides (see photos). The 1st press matrix numbers are: 2PRM 1510-1E and 2PRM 1511-1E. These are machine stamped in the dead wax respectively.
This is a rare early 1970's Elvis Presley Test Pressing LP. It could possibly be unique!? I have some other rare & collectable UK original 1960's & 1970's Folk, Prog, Psych, Rock etc... LP's for sale. Please see my other listings.
Sleeve: There are a couple of small tears to the front picture. These are at the edges. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the top and bottom edges on some areas. There is mild fading to the spine area. There is small stain on the rear sleeve. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. There are no seam splits. Overall, Very Good+ condition
Vinyl: There are two very mild 2 cm surface sleeve rubs that go horizontally across the 1st track on Side 1. There are some light, mild, very mild or more moderate surface sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Very Good condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show mild or very mild spindle wear only. As stated, there is some handwritten details written on both labels.
The period company paper inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good++ to Near Excellent overall & Excellent in many places. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in a few quieter places. Overall, a great audio copy!
