Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1957 release of Teddy Bear / Loving You released in the USA.
The record itself (47-7000 )is in VERY GOOD+ condition and retains some of it's natural sheen.
There are a few visible marks /scratches( nothing too deep or drastic though).
This is the RARE release WITHOUT the horizontal line and WITHOUT the parentheses around the words (let me be your). , which is rarer than the version which has no silver line but does have the parentheses!
The labels are quite bright and have NO WRITING!!(see photos)
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $55 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is VERY GOOD+ / VERY GOOD ) for the sleeve alone!!!
This was Elvis' 1st FULL COLOUR PICTURE SLEEVE with 2 GREAT DIFFERENT PHOTO'S .
This sleeve is 56 years old and in reasonable condition for the age.(see photos)
The sleeve has NO WRITING!!!
The only thing that stops this from grading higher is some ringwear/creases, partial seam splits, some damage from where a price label has been removed and some age discolouration/staining!
That said this is an affordable collection filler until that mint $140 (£87) record and sleeve come along !!!
The record is now stored in a paper sleeve and the picture cover in a poly sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this great RARITY.
Overall this was still valued at about $80(£50) back in 2008 , so i would guess this would have to be at least £52.
I will start this at under a HALF of that!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
