Hi, my name is Tommy and I’ve been collecting records for many, many years now. I’ve taken the hard decision to sell off some of my collection due to it being to large and taking up too much room. So please look at my other listings, regrettable they’ve got to go. All my records are stored in protective plastic sleeves, standing upright with no pressure on them. Will be listing many more over the next few months..:(
Listed here is a VERY RARE album by Elvis Presley titled Rock ‘n’ Roll. This is a UK 1st Original Pressing on HMV CLP 1093. This record is seriously RARE and is a piece of rock history, this is a corner stone in any collection for a serious collector. This is a VERY FIRST pressing from 1956 on the very collectable HMV ‘dog’ label. Side 2 label has the XT tax code and comes complete with original poly inner. What makes this record in even rarer is that the condition is great for its age. Most are in a very bad state(that’s if you can find other), but this one really does sound great. Also has early matrix numbers. Record contains the fantastic track "Mystery Train" which is possible is best song ever!
Matrix numbers: 2XAV 255-1N / 2XAV 256-1N
Both sides of the album are in EX condition. There is some very minor/light background Noise/Static, its only really noticeable between the tracks and on the run-ins and in very quiet places. NO skips, NO Jumps, few quiet pops. There are a few tiny hairline scratches that don’t effect play. NO Clicks.
The Laminated Flipback sleeve is in VG condition. NO pen names, tiny amount of spine wear, tiny amount of edge wear, NO ring wear, NO rips and NO splits. A small part of the front opening has been repaired (see photo, as you can see its not very noticeable and has been done very well). Some minor creasing and rub wear to edges. Small amount of lifting to laminate at a edge opening. Still has retained its lovely shine (see photo).
Original inner EX condition and Labels EX condition. Small amount spindle marks.
