ELVIS PRESLEY – “RETURN TO SENDER / WHERE DO YOU COME FROM” (47-8100) – WITH PICTURE SLEEVE

 

RECORD:  VG++ (EXC) with just some very light surface scuffs that should not have any effect on the audible performance. This original Indianapolis pressing should play just as well as any NM 1977 reissue! The labels are very clean and original, showing just a couple of fingerprints. The matrix numbers end with 4S/4S.   

PICTURE SLEEVE:  VG+ with some evidence of light bending, but no creasing. There are some wrinkles from handling as well. There are definitely no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes. Note the message at the base of the sleeve, “Ask your dealer about Elvis’ ’63 Color Calendar”. This is in reference to the 45 RPM version of the 1963 Calendar that was included with the earliest copies of the Original Soundtrack album “Girls! Girls! Girls!”, which contained the LP ads on the back. Even later calendars show the same photo on the front, but have a Christmas design on the back.
