Description
This is an auction for an Original copy of the HARD TO FIND 1956 EP DEMO / PROMO release featuring ELVIS PRESLEY - released in the USA.
The record itself (SPA-7-37 dog on top) is in EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+ condition retaining a lot of it's natural sheen with some visible marks/scratches , one of which can be seen in picture 3 but may well come out with a deep clean(see photos)
The centre labels have NO WRITING and are clearly marked with the words " NOT FOR SALE" (see photos)
This release is quite unique in the fact that although Elvis only sings 1 song ( Love Me ) he introduces ALL the other tracks featured on the E.P
The THICK CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2012 as $70 in the condition it is in now (which i would say is EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+) for the sleeve alone!!!
This sleeve is 61 years old and is in nice condition for the age.
There are NO SPLITS, RIPS or TEARS(see photos)
The only things that stop this from grading even higher is some scuff marks/ringwear and a couple of names written on the rear(see photos)
That said , This is a really affordable addition to fill any collection until that Mint $150 record and sleeve come along.
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this RARE sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $85(£60 approx) .I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £62.
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
