Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of Love Me Tender / Anyway You Want Me released in the USA.
The record itself (47-6643 )is in EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+ condition and retains some of it's natural sheen.
The labels are CLEAN and have NO WRITING , although there is a small numbered sticker on one side(see photos)
This is the RARER issue WITH THE HORIZONTAL LINE. (you could say this is this U.S equivilant of HMV GOLD WRITING UK issue!)
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $120 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+ ) for the sleeve alone!!!
THIS IS 1 OF THE 4 SLEEVES ISSUED!!
This sleeve is over 58 years old and there are only a few signs of ageing.
This would grade higher , however there is a small tear on the side near the top( nothing drastic though)
On the plus side there is NO WRITING and the colours are still nice and Elvis' image is not affected by the tear.
This is also the mega rare BLACK and WHITE issued sleeve, which is by far the hardest to come across (and only the third and by far the best i have had for sale in nearly 12 years of selling on ebay!)
Overall this was valued at about $150(£95+) back in 2008, so i guess it must be around £100+ now.
I will start this at under HALF of that!!
THIS WOULD MAKE A SUPERB AFFORDABLE COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL THAT MINT £130+ COPY COMES ALONG!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
