Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of Love Me Tender / Anyway You Want Me released in the USA.
The record itself (47-6643 ) is in VERY GOOD+/ VERY GOOD condition and retains some of it's natural sheen.
There are quite a few visible marks / scratches but nothing deep or drastic
The labels are CLEAN and have NO WRITING (see photos)
This is the RARE issue WITHOUT THE HORIZONTAL LINE. (you could say this is this U.S equivilant of HMV SILVER WRITING UK issue!)
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2016 as $50 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is ONLY VERY GOOD- ) for the sleeve alone!!!
THIS IS 1 OF THE 4 SLEEVES ISSUED and by far the RAREST!
This sleeve is 63 years old and there are a few flaws which stop this grading higher.
This would grade higher , however there is some tears to the top, bottom , a piece missing at the side and a complete seam split down the same side.
On the plus side there is NO WRITING!!!
This is also the mega rare BLACK and WHITE issued sleeve, which is by far the hardest to come across.
Overall this was still valued at about $70(£52+) back in 2016, so i guess it must be around £55+ now.
THIS WOULD MAKE AN AFFORDABLE COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL THAT MINT £130+ COPY COMES ALONG!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
PLEASE REMEMBER OVERALL CONDITION OF THE SLEEVE IF / WHEN PLACING A BID AS THIS WILL ONLY SERVE AS AN AFFORDABLE COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL THAT BETTER SLEEVE COMES ALONG!!
