Released in time for Easter 1969 this 45 combines the two title songs from Elvis’ 1st two gospel LPs ‘His Hand In Mine’ & ‘How Great Thou Art’. RCA 74-0130. Picture sleeve has minor ring wear on both sides (a little more on the B side) and record impressions. Labels and vinyl in EX or better condition.This is an extremely rare record and it is almost impossible to find a picture sleeve without extensive ring wear. This sleeve has very little.
Disc: (3/1969)3 Orange label. No STEREO on right side of the His Hand In Mine side. The with and the are capitalized in With The Jordanaires. Layout on right side has Inc., ASCAP on line together. STEREO on left side of the How Great Thou Art side. On the How Great Thou Art side, the “and” in the credits is on the same line as The Imperials Quartet. “His Hand in Mine" is a gospel song written by Mosie Lister and first recorded by the Statesmen Quartet in 1953. Presley's version was recorded on October 30, 1960 and was the title track of his 1960 gospel album. The song was released nine years later as an Easter single on March 25, 1969. The B-side was a more recent recording of "How Great Thou Art". Neither side charted and the record sold poorly.
