ELVIS PRESLEY - “G. I. BLUES” (LPM-2256), AN EXCELLENT FIRST PRESSING OF AN ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK RECORDING FROM 1960         RECORD: VG++ (EXC) with just some very light surface scuffs on the glossy vinyl that should not have any effect on the audible performance. I saw no need to test-play any of the tracks as no scuffs can be felt with the fingertip. This Rockaway pressing should play beautifully, with no skips or repeats! It appears that this Original Soundtrack Recording was adult-owned all of its life, showing evidence that it was very well cared for. The labels are the only item of mention that shows any real wear as there are several light spindle marks on both sides, but mainly on the Side 1 label where there is further wear about the spindle hole. This album was released in October of 1960 and includes "Wooden Heart", which was released as a single in 1964, paired with "Blue Christmas". The matrix numbers on this record end with 2S/6S, respectively.       COVER: VG++ (EXC) with absolutely no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes! However, there is a bend to the upper left corner tip area. Only minimal ring wear is noticed upon inspection. The spine is sound and fully legible and the upper & lower edges are solid. The corners remain sharp with very little wear noticed an a couple of the tips. This is a very clean, attractive and fully original cover that any collector would be proud to own.         INNER SLEEVE: The original "ELVIS IS BACK!" sleeve from 1960. All three edges have varying degrees of splitting, the right edge having split the most at approximately 8 inches. This sleeve has never seen tape!
