ELVIS PRESLEY - “FRANKIE AND JOHNNY” (LPM-3553), A FIRST PRESSING OF THIS ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK RECORDING, COMPLETE WITH BONUS PHOTO AND SHRINK STICKER FROM 1966 RECORD: VG++ (EXC) with just a few very light scuffs on the glossy vinyl that should have no effect on the audible performance. This Hollywood pressing should play just like new! The labels, with "Expanded Credits", are absolutely pristine! This Original Soundtrack Recording was released in April of 1966 and includes the single, "Frankie And Johnny / Please Don't Stop Loving Me". Hollywood was the exclusive pressing plant to produce these "Expanded Credit" labels and they are scarcer than their Indianapolis and Rockaway cousins. This is why Jerry Osborne assigns a higher value for them in his "Presleyana VIII" (2017). The matrix numbers on this record end with 5S/5S. COVER: NM- with full original shrink wrap that includes the highly sought-after Red Shrink Sticker, which announces the Bonus Photo Inside! The original store sticker with the catalog number (LPM-3553) and price indicator ("A") remains affixed to the shrink wrap as well. A small amount of wear is seen along the open end edge as well as the lower right corner area, to the bottom edge. This is a simply stunning, original cover that had been tucked away someplace safe for over 50 years! INNER SLEEVE: The original "ELVIS' Great LP Catalog" (40B) sleeve from the era.
BONUS PHOTO: NM- with just a tiny lower right corner tip bend as well as some very minor yellowing on the back from age. A collector would be hard-pressed to locate a finer copy of this Bonus Photo today.
