Description

ELVIS PRESLEY - “ELVIS’ GOLDEN RECORDS” (LPM-1707). THE ABSOLUTE COMPLETE PACKAGE! THE RECORD IS NM! THE COVER IS NM! INCLUDES THE RARE "FABULOUS OFFER" FLYER, ALONG WITH A STUNNING "PHOTO FOLIO", ALL FROM 1958!           RECORD: NM and with beautiful, original gloss! This Rocakaway pressing was obviously adult-owned throughout its existence and played perhaps just a couple of times! I saw no need to test-play any selections because I am so confident that it will play like brand new. The labels are the scarcer variety showing the title, "ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS", shifted far to the left on both sides. Spindle marks are noticed, but they are quite light and unoffensive to the observer. Released in April of 1958, this album is exploding with all of "The King's" huge hits from 1956-57 that made him who he was. This is definitely Elvis' biggest selling album of all-time! The matrix numbers end with 3S/5S.
COVER: NM- and with not so much as even the slightest amount of ring wear! The front slick retains full, original gloss and the back side remains very white. The only reason for the "minus" in the grade is due to some very minor corner tip wear, seen at the open end. This is, of course, the very first cover variety with the title in light blue letters and no song titles along the upper portion of the front. There is no "RE" on the back, following the catalog number (LPM-1707). This cover is simply stunning and very original for the collector who desires only high-end material in their Elvis collection!       INNER SLEEVE: The original RCA Victor sleeve from the era. "LOVING YOU" (LPM-1515) is seen listed among the other albums under "Popular", on the back side of the sleeve. Some age-toning on the sleeve is noticed.
FABULOUS OFFER FLYER: VG+ on the upper end of the scale, with just a single diagonal bend as well as a small amount of wrinkling from handling. This form was never filled out. This flyer is the "real deal" and NOT a counterfeit or photo copy. I have actually seen a photo copy of one of these and it lacks the fine dot detail that makes for the lighter colored (or gray) letters in "FABULOUS OFFER!". Another item that makes the copies obvious is the brighter white paper; this original is a bit yellowed from age.
ELVIS PRESLEY PHOTO FOLIO: NM- with just a small amount of wear at the lower right corner area, plus signs of a little bending to the lower left corner; all very minor. There is also some record lip impression along the lower portion from being stored within the album cover and up against the record. This was how I discovered it some years back when I happened upon this album. To my knowledge, this Photo Folio did not actually come with "ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS" from the pressing plants, but rather as a promotional item at record stores at the time that the album was released, ergo, the ad on the back side of the Folio (please see all 12 photos). All of the photos in this Photo Folio are from the "Jailhouse Rock" set and are also seen in the bound-in Photo Album that is inside of "ELVIS' CHRISTMAS ALBUM" (LOC-1035). Collectors will find this item on page 369 of Jerry Osborne's "Presleyana VII".
GOOD LUCK!   I COMBINE SHIPPING! $4 for the first LP, then 25 cents for each additional LP. FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, please do not ask me to place a low value on the Customs form or check "Gift" instead of "Merchandise"!  I ship all records in the CORRECT cardboard record mailers, specifically designed for shipping these historic and tough-to-replace treasures to your doorstep in the same condition as when they leave my hands. USPS has been known to find a way to bend these boxes on occasion, hard as that may be to believe, so items valued at $30 or more will be shipped automatically with insurance at no additional cost to the buyer. ALL of my records are U.S. pressings unless otherwise stated.  Payment is expected within 5 (Five) days from close of auction via PAY PAL ONLY – NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE. I normally ship within three business days from close of auction, but please allow a little extra time in the event of a holiday.  Returns are accepted if you are accepted if you are not completely satisfied with your item. I strongly believe that my grading of records is spot-on, but we’re all human and something may occasionally be missed upon inspection. I will do my best to ensure customer satisfaction. 2017 marks 39 years of experience for me in this wonderful hobby. I specialize in Elvis Presley.
