Description
ELVIS PRESLEY - “ELVIS’ GOLDEN RECORDS” (LPM-1707), A BEAUTIFUL, GLOSSY FIRST PRESSING WITH THE RARE "FABULOUS OFFER" FLYER! RECORD: NM- and very worthy of the grade, given there are only a few very light sleeve scuffs on the super-glossy vinyl! I played this Hollywood pressing in its entirety and it sounded absolutely fantastic. It plays like new with no skips, repeats or noticeable "ticks"! Released in April of 1958, this album is exploding with all of "The King's" huge hits from 1956-57 that made him who he was. This is definitely Elvis' biggest selling album of all-time! This album was obviously purchased by an adult when new, evidenced by how well it had been cared for. The labels are very clean and attractive, with just some light spindle marks noticed. The matrix numbers end with 6S/6S.
COVER: VG++ (EXC) and oh! So close to Near Mint! There are just a few edge dings, seen mainly on the lower edge, as well as some very light surface scuffing/ring wear. There are absolutely no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes present. However, there is a "398m" written lightly in pencil to the upper left corner on the back side. This could possibly be erased, if so desired, but I would advise against it as it could leave dulling in that area. This cover is the very first for this issue, showing no "RE" after the catalog number (LPM-1707) on the back. This cover is simply stunning and very original for the collector who desires only high-end material in their Elvis collection! INNER SLEEVE: The original RCA Victor sleeve from the era. "ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS" is seen listed among the other albums on the back side of the sleeve. It is in the third column, 6th selection from the bottom. Edge splits are observed.
FABULOUS OFFER FLYER: VG+ and the form was never filled out. It is original, but does have a few corner creases to the lower left, as well as a few wrinkles from handling. This flyer is the "real deal" and NOT a counterfeit or photo copy. I have actually seen a photo copy of one of these and it lacks the fine dot detail that makes for the lighter colored (or gray) letters in "FABULOUS OFFER!". Another item that makes the copies obvious is the brighter white paper; this original is a bit yellowed from age.
GOOD LUCK! I COMBINE SHIPPING! $4 for the first LP, then 25 cents for each additional LP. I HAVE RESUMED INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING! Please do not ask me to tilt my integrity by placing a low value on the Customs form or checking "Gift" instead of "Merchandise". I ship all records in the CORRECT cardboard record mailers, specifically designed for shipping these historic and tough-to-replace treasures to your doorstep in the same condition as when they leave my hands. USPS has been known to find a way to bend these boxes on occasion, hard as that may be to believe, so items valued at $30 or more will be shipped automatically with insurance at no additional cost to the buyer. ALL of my records are U.S. pressings unless otherwise stated. Payment is expected within 5 (Five) days from close of auction via PAY PAL ONLY – NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE. I normally ship within three business days from close of auction, but please allow a little extra time in the event of a holiday. Returns are accepted if you are accepted if you are not completely satisfied with your item. I strongly believe that my grading of records is spot-on, but we’re all human and something may occasionally be missed upon inspection. I will do my best to ensure customer satisfaction. 2017 marks 39 years of experience for me in this wonderful hobby. I specialize in Elvis Presley.
