ELVIS PRESLEY - ELVIS' CHRISTMAS ALBUM (LOC-1035). THIS IS THE ORIGINAL PRESSING FROM 1957 - A ONE-YEAR-ONLY ISSUE! THIS IS A NICE COPY THAT PLAYS WELL FROM START TO FINISH! NO SKIPS! NO REPEATS!
RECORD: VG and is a Rockaway pressing with 3S/4S matrix numbers. Very glossy vinyl with some surface scratches & scuffs that are not "feelable". Clean labels with just spindle marks present. I played this record in its entirety and the sound was amazingly clear with, but being a 57-year-old record, expect some light, sporadic "ticks" along the way. Near Mint copies of this album are valued at $500 according to Jerry Osborne's "Presleyana VII" (2012).
COVER: VG with an entirely intact bound-in photo album consisting of photos of Elvis during the filming of "Jailhouse Rock". There are absolutely no tears, writing or graffiti on this photo album, which is rare in itself! The cover does have a complete spine split from top to bottom, which is extremely common for this issue. This is the Gold-lettered spine variety. Silver is downright RARE. Due to age, there are a few areas along the spine in which the covering had become brittle and have fallen off (see photos). There is a 1-inch seam split at the top at the open end along with some general wear about the edges and corners. This One-Year-Only issue is deserving placement in a medium to high-end collection of original Elvis Presley records today!
