Description
Another Collector's Opportunity! This is NOT the original first U.S. pressing of Elvis Presley's first ever EP, but it is very much a collectable by Elvis fans and is just about as rare. The jacket is a gatefold, and in great condition for its age, only a tad off color and the beginnings of a split at the top edge though not broken open at the back portion of the gatefold. Both EP's are in great condition, and look like factory pressings with a minute few scuffs from the paper sleeves. The details from various web sites denote this as a Florida issued product with a thick label on the "Record Prevue" series (research shows that this 45 set was never issued on that series). The records themselves have matrix numbers :- G2 WH1850 / G2 WH1853 / G2 WH1851 / G2 WH1852 hand etched into the 'dead wax' and side 3 and 4 have their details also feintly written on the dead wax, but only those sides it appears.

Sleeve is VG++ with slight storage wear, minimal corner wear, slight edge wear/split beginning along top edge of the outer corner of the rear pocket, very slight discoloration on the back and a very small amount of discoloration on the inside gatefold. Nice and bright, clean front surface with the slightly lighter pink lettering and darker green and a half-tone definition in the picture which less than the original sleeve version but still great! Record is Excellent and I am told by the former owner's wife that it probably wasn't played much and not at all in the last 20 years. Feint to light handling scuffs and a really clean label. Can't say it plays great as I daren't put a needle to it.
I have visually inspected every item and will verify that this also came from a priavate collection, the owner having passed and I had to buy this in an expensive purchase as they would NOT break the collection, so I had to take everything to get the few records I actually wanted/needed. There is also a second set on offer which is in the other listing - I believe it to be a an original 1956 issued set.
