THIS IS A RARE, AUTHENTIC FIRST US PRESSING (1959).
This copy is a confirmed First Pressing manufactured at the RCA Indianapolis plant. It features the classic black RCA Victor labels with the distinctive "Nipper" dog logo at the top and "LONG 33 1/3 PLAY" text at the bottom (a key identifier of early pressings).
It is housed in the original gatefold cover which features the iconic "Elvis 1960" calendar on the backโa feature unique to the original release intended to promote Elvis during his final year in the Army. The gatefold opens to reveal photos of Elvis in his military uniform.
Most importantly for audiophiles and serious collectors, this copy features "1S" matrices on BOTH sides, indicating it was pressed from the very first metal stampers.
