Elvis Presley,Sun record #223
I rate at a VG+ for both the record and the original Sun sleeve it is in
The only sign of wear on the label is on Mystery side of a slight ring around where the record changes size,visible in the picture.
I played this record on an antique console stereo that had a diamond needle and heard no pops,ticks or jumps on either side.
I haven't really seen any copies yet of this record in as good as shape,not even in the price guides. This record came from a family member who owned a jukebox bussines,and had several copies at one time.This may just have been one that wasn't used.If not there really seemed to be no sign of being played a lot.

But what if I hadn't known that?I got to looking and realized that there were other records released at the same time,1955,and that they had a similar flaw to the them. At the bottom of the label there was a printing flaw in Memphis Tennessee. I work for a printing company and know that this happens when a small piece if paper sticks to the press blanket it is being printed on,and as it moves or falls off, that image will appear different,as in some of the other records.These labels were first printed as blanks and the artist name song title were added later,that is why you see the same flaw on different artists' records.I have enclosed a few samples of that.Ones I didn't include,and you can look them up are, Smokey joe and Carl Perkins,both released around 1955.
Also I took a closer look at a record that recently sold on Ebay and checked the serial numbers between mine and theirs and they matched exactly,even down the the tiny scratch that you see in the U on the 156 side of the record.The large sample is the record that was recently sold.
- As I said before this record may have never been used and was stored away by my grandfather,and it is probally going to to be the best copy of this record you may ever see.
