Description
Memphis Recording Service - Acetate ! With push-marks.
Memphis Recording Service was the recording studio for Sun Records. both operated and owned by Sam Philips.
Elvis recorded all of his first records in Memphis Recording Service Studio, which is now a American Historical Place!
This is history, an great unique historical peace of record.
Don Brackin recorded it there between mid august and november 1956, only for himself, on this acetate. Elvis returned to Sun records and made it to the Memphis Recording Studio the same year on december 4th, to record "Don´t be cruel" and other tunes there with the well known Million Dollar Quartet: Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.
That´s why this is a mystic record, a one of a kind. And Don sings it pretty well. The sound of the record ist still pretty good.
Don Brackin was the lead guitarist of the 50s band -The Mello Chords-.
You won´t find any MRS acetate, never out of the fifties, and never ever related to Elvis. Don´t be cruel is reported to be co-written ( by Elvis himself, cause he changed some of the originals verses in the way he wanted it. The song hit No.1. in all three big Charts ( Pop, Country and R ´n` B ) It became one of his greatest songs ever.
