Elton John Personally Owned and Commissioned Applique Cap
This is a one-of-a-kind unique cap created exclusively for Elton John, presumably as stage wear. It was bought in 1988, at one of the first "Out Of The Closet" pop-up charity shops which Elton staged in London.
It is very similar in style to what Elton wore on "The Muppet Show" but it's unknown if it's by the same designer. The only label it carries is a hand written one which is clearly shown in one of the images. Unfortunately, I can't tell what it says other than "Studios 1980".
Since buying it in 1988, I've exhibited it at various record fairs, "Heist, Paris, Groningen, Wembley", where it appeared next to Michael Jackson's signed "Moonwalker" white fedora.
