Description

Elton John's first solo UK single from 1968 "I've Been Loving You" coupled with "Here's To the Next Time" PHILIPS label no. BF1643. Record excellent, sleeve good condition. I'm sure I don't have to emphasise the rarity and value of this record. Sleeve is a little dog-eared and marked and still has the shop-written title down the left-hand side of the back (see pics) but record is in superb condition for its age. I have owned this single from new (if I remember correctly, I picked it up from an "oddments" bin in Manchester Woolworth's around 1969/70). It's been played no more than 4 or 5 times and has been stored along with all my other singles in a purpose-built wooden box and in a smoke-free home for over 35 years. I have taken several close-up pics - two of them show a very slight scuff mark on the A-side and a longer scuff mark on the B-side but they are surface marks only, not scratches. I would be very surprised if a comparable or better quality example of this single appears again.

No reserve but I'm setting a reasonable starting bid considering its value.
