Rare limited edition with Elton’s and Bernie’s autographs. Complete with the Scraps and Lyrics books, and with the poster. Vinyl is in excellent condition.
Combined with “The Captain & The Kid”, the two recordings form an autobiographical view spanning 30 years of two of rock history’s greatest writer-performer duos.
This is from a special pressing of only 2,000 that were signed and presented to recording industry movers and shakers in 1975 as thanks from Elton and Bernie.
The gatefold cover is in very good condition with some minor wear at corners. Sleeve is excellent.
Recorded at the legendary Caribou Ranch near Nederland, Colorado in June and July 1974, it is a concept album that presents an autobiographical look at the struggles of Elton and Bernie in their early years. It includes Elton’s chart topper “Someone Saved My Life Tonight.” In 2003, Capt. Fantastic was ranked at158 on Rolling Stone’s list of the greatest albums of all time.
