Description

This is a 10" double sided Apple acetate by Elton John.


Tracks are:


Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting 4:43

Rocket Man 4:40

Crocodile Rock 3:50


I've played this just the once and they are my timings, as far as I heard they are the released versions but I maybe wrong, I'm not an Elton expert.


The label states Rocket but that side plays Crocodile Rock, the other playing Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting and Rocket man!


The label does show some signs of wear/glue bleed.


The sound of this acetate is the best I've ever heard from an acetate, probably played just the twice. This is just minimal background noise.


There are no etchings or stampers in the run out and includes the additional hole near the centre from the lathe.


It has the distinctive acetate smell.


I know it seems strange to see Elton John on Apple but there are acetates by Slade, Sweet, David Bowie, the Rolling Stones even!! amongst many artists we've little heard of!
