Description

This is the original deep groove RVG-etched pressing of Elmo Hope “Hope Meets Foster” on the West 50th St. labels pf Prestige PRLP 7021.  This is a strange pressing, in that the grooves are only 2/3 deep in circumference, an unusual anomaly (See photos). The beaded rim playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.  The coated West 50th Street frame is clean throughout, showing age toning on the back slick; rubbing/superficial flaking along the bottom seam; light wear at the bottom corners.  Glassine inner sleeve is included.  Personnel include Frank Foster, Freeman Lee, John Ore, and Art Taylor.  $300.00
