Description

This is the original deep groove RVG-etched pressing of Elmo Hope “Hope Meets Foster” on the West 50th St. labels of Prestige PRLP 7021.  The playing surface is in flawless new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.  The coated frame West 50th Street cover has a nearly immaculate front; the back slick shows normal age toning and light foxing; rubbing along the bottom seam and a 1 ½” split at the opening.  The back is signed: “To Duke, With much appreciation and sincere best wishes, your friend always, Frank Foster”.   Personnel include Freeman Lee, John Ore, and Art Taylor. Original glassine inner sleeve is included.  $300.00
