Elliott Smith XO vinyl LP. Bong Load records, 1998 First off, apologies for the formatting. Ebay jumbled my entire description. If you're looking at this, there's probably no need to go into Elliott Smith or his legacy. I think time will show that he was one of the most important songwriters of this generation. All of his music was hauntinly beautiful and this LP was no exception. When I first picked this up, I was a huge fan of his previous record, and this one carries on with his unmistakable style, but with a lot more "production" thrown on top. Besides his voice and guitar, there are string arrangements, etc. It took me a bit to get used to, but the reason I bring it up is because I didn't spin this record that much as a result. I've probably listened to this less than a dozen times. I've since come to love this record, but this is only after loading the MP3s on my player. The vinyl itself is nigh-pristine with no scratches, pops or surface noise pictures are of the actual record that I'm selling. As you can see, there is a tiny amount of ring wear starting. The ring wear is really only present in the varnish and can only be seen under glare really. Also, a bad kitty took a tiny nick out of the spine. Other than that, the corners are pretty sharp and everything is in pretty much brand new condition. I'm only this anal because I know that this record is highly sought-after and I want whoever is bidding to know exactly what's going on and ensure that no suprises happen when the record arrives at your place. I work at a record distributor and will remove the record from the sleeve and pack both in a polybag and a reenforced LP mailer before shipping it out. I've shipped plenty of records, so I will ensure that it's packed properly. USPS and the like suck, but I'll do everything possible to protect this record from the ravages of shipment. I strongly suggest popping for insurance. NOTE: I will be travelling Thurs-Sat, so I will have limited email access those days. If you want to ask questions, I suggest doing it sooner if you want a quicker response. If I receive an instant payment, this record will go out first thing on monday. Please do not ask me to end the auction early. Also, insurance is your choice, but I can't be responsible for any items once they leave my hands. Add another $2 for insurance.
