Description
- Excellent copy of the very rare 1954 Capitol purple label 10” LP from Ella Mae Morse “Barrelhouse Boogie And The Blues” (Capitol H-513) backed by Big Dave and his orchestra.
- This hard to find LP is described musically as between jump blues, pop and early rock and roll (the LP includes her version of the early rock classic “Money Honey”).
- The rest of the tracklist is: Rock Me All Night Long/Have Mercy Baby/Teardrops From My Eyes/Daddy, Daddy/How Can You Leave A Man Like This/5-10-15 Hours/I Love You, Yes I Do.
- The glossy LP looks and plays great with just a few sleeve scuffs and other superficial marks. The labels indicate very little play. You should expect some light surface noise typical of 1950s era 10" LPs. The front and back cover are in excellent condition with crisp, clear graphics and liner notes. There are no splits, tears, writing or cutouts. There is a crease in one corner and the beginning of some flaking of the seams on that same corner. Includes a rice paper protective inner sleeve.
- NO reserve. I ship worldwide and will combine winning bids to save on postage (check out my other items!).
- In the US, the winning bidder pays choice of media mail ($4.00) or priority shipping (based on ZIP code). Airmail to Canada is $7.50. All other locations outside the US are $14.00 airmail. These prices include shipping and handling. Good luck
