Description

Mega rare original 2 LP set of Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong - Porgy & Bess (Verve MGV-4011 - mono)  Original black label edition with deep groove on all four sides - NOT a current re-issue!  Spectacular session featuring Ella and Louis along with Russel Garcia conducting the Gershwin classic jazz opera.  Truly a classic that no serious jazz collector can be without.

The LPs are in solid VG+ condition with light marks that will make some noise and with most if not all of the original shine - not for the audiophile, but certainly not trashed either - but still, you will hear some noise on this one.  The cover is in strong VG+ condition with light general shelf/age wear.  The booklet bound inside the gatefold features artwork by David Stone Martin has some damage at the bottom (does not disturbe the text or illustrations).  NO splits, NO tape, NO writing, NO stickers, NO stamps.  Not perfect, but how many of these do you see anymore in any condition?

The LP will be carefully packed using professional materials (over twenty years experience safely selling jazz LPs around the world).

Shipping discounts available for multiple items sent together to any country.

Mailing costs have gone up.  Postal rates have increased dramatically, the cost of record mailers has increased and e-bay now charges a fee for mailing - in addition to  payment fees on mailing payments.   I have done what I can to keep mailing costs down, but I have no control over these increases.
International mailing costs:   International overseas mailing to Europe for one LP would be $31.00.  One LP to Japan, Southeast Asia and Australia would be $34.00.  This reflects increases in postage costs, e-bay fees on mailing, payment fees on mailing as well as mailers and packing materials.   One LP to Canada would be $27.00

US mailing costs:  Media mail rate as calculated to a U.S. address.  This reflects increases in postage costs, e-bay fees on mailing, payment fees on mailing as well as the cost of mailers and packing materials.

All items are guaranteed upon return in condition sent, but mailing costs are NOT refundable.  Thanks for your interest and good luck.
