Description
Mega rare original 2 LP set of Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong - Porgy & Bess (Verve MGVS-6040-2 - stereo) Original black label stereo edition - NOT a current re-issue! Spectacular session featuring Ella and Louis along with Russel Garcia conducting the Gershwin classic jazz opera. Truly a classic that no serious jazz collector can be without.
The LPs are in strong VG++/Near Mint condition with minimal light marks and with possibly all of the original shine - not quite for the audiophile, but really really nice condition for one of these. The cover is in strong VG+ condition with light general shelf/age wear and a bit of clear tape on the top seams. The booklet bound inside the gatefold features artwork by David Stone Martin. NO writing, NO stickers, NO stamps. Not perfect, but a very strong copy of a real classic.
The LP will be carefully packed using professional materials (over twenty years experience safely selling jazz LPs around the world).
Shipping discounts available for multiple items sent together to any country.
Mailing costs have gone up. Postal rates have increased dramatically, the cost of record mailers has increased and e-bay now charges a fee for mailing - in addition to payment fees on mailing payments. I have done what I can to keep mailing costs down, but I have no control over these increases.
International mailing costs: International overseas mailing to Europe for one LP would be $31.00. One LP to Japan, Southeast Asia and Australia would be $36.00. One LP to Canada would be $27.00. For other countries please write for quote. All rates reflect increases in postage costs, e-bay fees on mailing, payment fees on mailing as well as mailers and packing materials.
US mailing costs: Media mail rate as calculated to a U.S. address. This reflects increases in postage costs, e-bay fees on mailing, payment fees on mailing as well as the cost of mailers and packing materials.
All items are guaranteed upon return in condition sent, but mailing costs are NOT refundable. Thanks for your interest and good luck.
