Elixir Treachery ( Ride Like The Wind ) 7" Orig UK 1985 NO COVER NWOBHM Pro Cleaned Tested . On UK Elixir Records solid centre red with black print paper labels ELIXIR 1 . B SIDE: Winds Of Time . I believe this one was a limited edition of 1000 copies , please do note that this one does not have the original picture sleeve , it comes with a new plain white paper sleeve only .
COVER: New plain white paper sleeve .
LABELS: Solid centre red with black print paper labels in near excellent condition and still overall nice and clean , i think the outer edge only of the spindle hole on S1 label and a couple of very tiny bits of S2 ( hardly visible ) spindle hole outer edge only have been neatly inked in mainly on the bottom part , that said , there are no heavy , excessive signs of play wear on the record , i guess it could be a printing defect , but to me it looks like it has been inked in , i have seen this many times before but it is usually on heavily played records with wear round the spindle hole and for some reason people think it's a good idea to ink in the white wear parts showing on the spindle hole edges ( not good in my opinion ) , but as i say this record shows no signs of excessive play . There is one paper crease line on S2 label at the bottom and a small faint very thin line mark at approx two o'clock also on S2 label , there are just a very very few usual but very light spindle marks , both labels are writing free .
RECORD: The overall visual grade of the playing surface under normal average household light conditions is a very strong very good condition though i think a lot of people may say better overall with mostly just four very light / faint certainly non feelable and certainly non sounding line type marks which to me appear to be the faint shadow type impression of the edges of possibly a small piece of paper or small paper insert which may have been inside the record sleeve with the record over time , i must stress these are very light only and actually some parts are only really seen more at certain angles to the light and as i say are totally non feelable and non sounding when tested , i have tried to show the sort of thing i mean in the photos , there are just a very very few other extremely light and small certainly non feelable certainly non sounding marks and just a very few usual very fine whispy type hairlines and sleeve removals , a couple of the hairlines are very slightly more visible at certain angles to the light but are still extremely light only and certainly non feelable , i will also say that a lot ( most ) of the very few finer hairlines are really only more visible when held at certain angles to or under a light . The record still retains a great shine . Please see below for audio description .
AUDIO A SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but generally light / very light noise . It plays excellent , perfectly crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with really nothing in the way of obvious noise that was worthy of mention , there really is nothing worthy of note to report here . There was no nasty crackle and no nasty ticks , there may just have been the odd very very faint isolated pop that i may have missed . Silent run off has some usual noise . This side on the music really does play and sound fantastic overall and the audio tones are still awesome .
AUDIO B SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but generally light / very light noise . It also plays excellent , perfectly crisp and clear throughout on the music playback and plays as S1 description . Silent run off has some usual but generally light noise . This side on the music really does play and sound fantastic overall and the audio tones are still awesome .
There were no jumps etc when tested on my deck and it still retains a lovely shine . Any noises tend to be in short bursts only , are over quickly , are not constant and do not spoil any enjoyment . If any noises are more frequent or louder etc , they will be described separately in the above detailed descriptions thank you .
All in all a nice example of this now scarce and very collectable item together with super overall sound , do turn this one up and enjoy ! . Obviously as there is no cover with this one , i have started this one off at what i think is a keen £59.99p , the extra shown is what Ebay add on for their fees .Thank you very much for your time and interest and happy bidding . Please do read the following ref record gradings explained thank you .
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times , but displays no major deterioration in sound quality , despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch , some forms of noise will more than likely be heard in places especially on the quieter parts and the odd tick or pop may also be heard in places especially on the quieter parts , but none of this will overpower any of the music in any way , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
Very Good / Near Excellent: The record has obviously been played but shows no overly excessive play wear . There will be some light only surface marks though most will be just hairlines , there will be no major deterioration in sound quality though some amount of light noise / occasional light pop / tick may be present in places especially on some of the quieter parts , but none of this will be loud or constant or overpower any of the music , the record will play through perfectly , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
Near Excellent: The record has obviously been played but shows only light signs of this , a few of the lightest non feelable surface marks being mostly very fine hairlines will be present , but it displays no deterioration in sound quality . Some brief bits of very light noise and very occasional usual light pop maybe present in places and would be acceptable on some quieter parts , but none of this will be loud or constant or overpower any of the music , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
Excellent : The record shows some signs of having been played , but there is very little lessening in sound quality , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail. Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
