Description
The eponymous debut album by Egg, originally released in 1970; Canterbury scene prog at its finest here.
This rare example is a repress issued on the obscure orange Deram Nova label, circa 1973-77 (exact date of pressing unknown, as the cover still has the rear hole for identifying mono/stereo pressings, and mono pressings ceased in 1974 and Clarifoil covers such as this ceased in 1977).
On the cover a duration of 3:14 is mentioned for an unnamed track between "Blane" and "Movement 4" which is an error as this track was withdrawn after the first test pressing.
Sleeve printed in England by Moore & Matthes Ltd. (Laminated with "Clarifoil" made by British Celanese Limited).
Both the vinyl and sleeve have been graded EX due to a few pictured marks for the sleeve, and general scratch-wear for the vinyl (including a signature on the label). This sleeve is incredibly shiny! I've done my best to represent any issues with the sleeve under bright light but it's highly reflective.
