EDUARD ARTEMIEV - "SOLARIS" – RARE JAPANESE ELECTRONIC OST!!!
Holy Russo-Japanese OST grail alert!
Now this is really, really, really, really, really rare (if you didn’t know).
None of the Russian looking copies I’ve ever seen on Ebay have been anything but cheap looking boots – but you can rest assured this is the real deal. 100% original Japanese pressing. Ethereal and sublimely atmospheric, “Solaris” is a brilliant electronic OST from this Communist era Russian composer. Working with the “Electronic Music Experiment Studio Ensemble”, Artemiev creates an understated, dreamlike web of sound which superbly compliments Tarkovsky’s psychological sci-fi masterwork. Delicate drones, suspenseful echoes, trippy tape effects and metallic reverberations galore render this a proto-ambient (proto industrial ?) landmark.
Unlike most wibblingly abstract music concrete, I find this quite accessible – I can see how it could appeal to techno-heads, industrial fiends and soundtrack collectors all. This is a gorgeous archive quality copy – complete with OBI and insert – so I hope it goes to a good home. . . !
Only seems to pop up on Ebay about once a year – so don’t delay – bag your copy today!

GRADING:
RECORD grades M, utterly pristine. Vinyl plays totally clean. No surface noise, no crackle. Just music, sweet music.
COVER is also a superb EX! Just some very slight wear to top seam. OBI is in perfect M condition, as is the insert within the jacket.
