This is a very clean record and sounds great.  Make sure you look at the photographs closely.  Please note the collector taped his name to the B side.  I see people grade their 78 RPMs and then say "for its age" and I don't know what that means.  If it's scratched it's scratched, even if it is 70 years old.  A scratch is a scratch, a scuff is a scuff and there is a difference.  My rating of these is based on the scale normally used for judging records whether 33, 45 or 78 RPM.  There are no scratches, gouges, cracks, chips or anything else that might detract from play.   These records are ready to spin.

This comes from a large collection I acquired recently that was owned by Dr. Less Montgomery of Idaho.  He liked to catalog his records and included his name on almost all of the collection.  You will see over the next several weeks that he also often times wrote the date that he acquired the record and the location.  I think it adds something to the each of the items.  You can look at my other 78 RPM auctions for examples.  My Coleman Hawkins set is a good example.  This set for auction only has the stamped name on the inside of the album.  Nothing on the records.

Doctor Montgomery lived in De Moines, Iowa in the 1940s and had several record making machines.   Expect to see some acetates from this collection over the next several weeks.

Your record will be delivered to you in a paper sleeve, and packed carefully so that you receive the records arrive in same quality condition they are in when you bid.  I want you to understand that I understand how important the packing process is when mailing 78 RPM records, and I assure you that you will be satisfied.

Shipping within the 48 United States is $4.00.  International Shipping is $12.00.  If you want this shipped by other means, such as priority mail, I will simply charge whatever the actual shipping is.

  
General Policy on Combining Shipping:  I will combine shipping by simply adding $2.00 to the shipping cost per record auction on all 45 RPM and 33 RPM starting with the highest base shipping.  For instance, if you buy a record with $8.00 shipping charge, and a record with a $15 shipping charge, total shipping combined will be $17.00.  I also will work to combine shipping on 78 RPM records but that will have to be determined on a case by case basis because there is so much variance in the weight of the item, record casing, etc.  Any questions, email me.
I will also combine shipping on magazine and shirt auctions by simply charging you actual shipping charges plus cost of packing materials.

Shipping within the 48 United States is Media Mail. International Shipping is listed for First Class International Shipping. If you want priority mail or some other service, just let me know and I will simply charge the actual shipping costs. Same with US shipping.
Shipping to Italy is $30.
