Description

2 Minute Wax Edison cylinder (B.28) of Josephine Jacobe singing "Aria del paggio" from HUGUENOTS. Jacobe's 4 Edison cylinders are her only solo recordings and are extremely scarce, especially in this condition. Her voice is beautifully recorded, rich and vibrant-very forward. Only Edison cylinders seem to have this kind of sound. This cylinder comes with original box and lid. This cylinder has no discoloration, mold or wear, and PLAYS FLAWLESSLY.
