Description
Collectors, here is a wonderful disc, Edison Diamond Disc #52501, circa early 1929. Violinist's Murray Kellner's Dinner Music Ensemble performs two pieces: the well-known "A Dream", and Bo-Peep - Intermezzo" Lovely music with fine arrangements and solos, very enjoyable. As far as I can tell, neither song was issued as a Blue Amberol cylinder record. The record plays well with minimal surface noise, sounds great! There are some edge chips, and the labels are firmly attached to the record.
Edison stopped issuing Diamond Discs in October, 1929. Copies of this record would have needed to be bought by customers in 1929, or in jobber or dealer stock; the Edison factory had destroyed their records by the end of 1929. Add in that this was 90+ years ago, and you have a real rarity with this record. If this is what you like, do not pass it up, low starting bid, go for it!
Shipping to USA addresses only. $4.95 media mail postage and handling, record will be carefully packed and shipped in a new box. Please pay within 24 hours of purchase and I will leave you positive feedback when I ship the record, your positive feedback much appreciated!!
